The Karlsruhe-based company is adding another important feature to its Connected Fueling platform: payment directly from the driver’s seat.
PACE Telematics, a market leader in mobile payment at the pump, is taking a big step further towards its vision of the modern way of refueling by extending its own mobile payment function by connecting to CarPlay (running iOS 16) and Android Auto. The free PACE Drive fueling app will thus be available in the infotainment system of almost all vehicle manufacturers in fall of this year, without any additional app installation.
With payment via smartphone, smartwatch and now also car, we offer a consistently modern, versatile, secure and convenient payment solution in all situations and continue to expand our technological lead.

After PACE Drive became the first and only fueling app to present smartwatch payment in 2021, the app will enable the following functions directly from the infotainment system starting this fall:
- Compare gas station prices in the surrounding area: The app can compare gasoline prices, as you are used to from your smartphone, and can thus also help you find the cheapest price from your car.
- Pay directly at the fuel pump: If PACE Drive is started via the in-car display, the fuel pump and payment method can be selected as usual. After refueling, you can also pay directly in your car.
The functionality can then be used for convenient cashless payment at over 3,000 gas stations in 8 European countries. The expansion of the network of supported gas stations is another focus of PACE; the network is already growing steadily.
As an innovative company, PACE continues to set new standards for features that make everyday life easier for users. “With payment via smartphone, smartwatch and now also car, we offer a consistently modern, versatile, secure and convenient payment solution in all situations and continue to expand our technological lead,” says Philip Blatter, one of the founders and managing directors of PACE Telematics GmbH.
