PACE Telematics, the leading provider of mobile payment solutions in the European gas station market, proudly announces a groundbreaking partnership with the EG Group. This strategic alliance aims to revolutionize and significantly expand mobile payment at most Esso-branded gas stations in Germany.
Through this significant collaboration, PACE is expanding its network by approximately 1,200 stations, covering the entire EG Group gas station network in Germany. In the initial phase, 860 Esso-branded stations operated by the EG Group, along with around 80 Esso-branded stations managed by Minera Kraftstoffe – Mineraloelwerk Rempel GmbH will be integrated into PACE’s Connected Fueling ecosystem. In a subsequent phase, an additional 240 stations currently operating under the OMV brand will also be integrated. The technology integration is facilitated by the SIQMA Connect interface by Scheidt & Bachmann, ensuring a smooth and efficient implementation.
Esso-branded stations, equipped with shops, offer a comprehensive range of services. The introduction of mobile payment solutions strengthens the EG Group’s and Minera’s focus on providing excellent customer service. For instance, paying at the pump increases convenience by allowing motorcyclists to refuel without removing their helmets and enabling parents with small children to stay by the car while refueling. Meanwhile, this allows staff to dedicate more attention to assisting customers in the shop and better addressing their needs. These innovations contribute to a more seamless and enjoyable fueling experience.
Philip Blatter, Managing Director at PACE Telematics, explains: “Our collaboration with the EG Group is a crucial step in providing customers at Esso-branded stations with a hassle-free digital fueling experience. This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that make drivers’ daily lives simpler and more convenient. We are thrilled to partner with the EG Group and Minera to shape this new era of customer orientation and digital services.”
Heiko Thieme, Fuels Manager of EG Deutschland GmbH, adds: “Innovation is at the core of our strategy at the EG Group, as we continuously strive to enhance the service experience for our customers. The partnership with PACE Telematics supports our pursuit of advanced solutions to achieve this.”
