We make your PACE ID account even more secure
We want to protect you and your data even better and therefore introduce two-factor authentication starting next month.
How does the secure login work?
You log in like usual with your credentials
Receive code
We will send you a one-time security code by email
Authorize
You enter your security code in the app and are safely logged in
What do you need to pay attention to?
In order to be able to introduce the two-factor authentication, we need to log you out of your account in the next few days, so that you can then log in again using the new, more secure method.
Notice: If you have registered with Apple in the PACE Drive app, there is no two-factor authentication from our side, because Apple already does this by itself with Touch or Face ID. Since we unfortunately cannot filter who has signed in with Apple and who has not, you will also be automatically logged out once.
Do you have any questions?
Frequently asked questions about two-factor authentication
What is two-factor authentication?
Why do we introduce this proof of identity at registration?
Many users choose weak passwords or use the same passwords for different accounts. This makes it easier for third parties to crack the passwords and steal your data. The second factor, the code you receive by mail, protects your account and your data in the best possible way.
What are the advantages of the new process?
Now that your account is doubly protected, it is even more difficult for third parties to get hold of your data or use it for their own purposes.
The payment itself is, as you may already know, also separately protected by your fingerprint, facial recognition, password or your personal PACE PIN.
